ENGINEERS

There are 6 engineering positions available in Mission Control. Each position is staffed by two engineers.

Engineers will:

Maintain communication with Earth Communications Engineer

Monitor the Rover's performance and stay within safety parameters Thermal Engineer

Select sites for investigation (as nominated by Science team) and safely drive the Rover Navigation Engineer

Deploy Robotic Arm and instruments (as nominated by Science team) Robotics Engineer

Manage the Rover's energy budget Power Engineer

The Chief Engineer will take overall responsibility for the team, spot problems, assist as necessary and troubleshoot.

The Engineering and Science Teams are jointly responsible for producing a SURVEY MAP of the area immediately surrounding the Rover. Additionally, the Engineering Team will provide a REPORT detailing any problems during the Mission and suggestions for future missions.
