SCIENTISTS

There are 6 science positions available in Mission Control. Each position will be staffed by two scientists.

Scientists will:

Monitor solar activity and surface radiation levels [Space Weather Scientist]

Monitor the local Martian environment [Mars Meteorologist]

The Geologist, Chemist and Astrobiologist will work closely together to:

Select targets (rocks and soil) to be investigated

Analyse rock and soil samples using scientific instruments carried by the Rover

Identify samples by using the Database Library

The Chief Scientist will take overall responsibility for the team, assist as necessary and troubleshoot any problems.
