Mars Meterologist

The Mars Weather Meteorologist will constantly monitor the immediate Martian environment for Temperature and Wind Speed, and light levels by deploying the LIDAR. Because the Rover's electronic components must be kept warm to operate, extra power may be needed when temperatures fall. An increase in wind speed and a fall in light levels may indicate an approaching dust storm, and the Chief Scientist should be notified.
